One of the best things I did to prepare for Eden's arrival was prepping freezer meals in advance. I found THE BEST WEBSITE EVER for meal prepping and I wanted to share it because it has changed the way we do dinner. With my best friends help I prepped 13 meals in freezer bags a month or two before my due date. The great thing about these meals is that they're all made to be easily thrown into the crock pot and be ready by dinner. The time it takes to prep these meals varies but for me always seems to take about 2-3 hours. (I usually make two of the meal prep sessions, so 8-13 meals depending on which one's I choose). It's so worth it to not have to worry about cooking everyday with a newborn.
We don't have one yet but we plan on getting a food processor to cut all the veggies, which I recommend and will help things go so much faster since I have continued to prep these meals for our dinner throughout the week. What's also great about these meals is they are all made with healthy fresh ingredients. The meals aren't cooked before you freeze them, so they don't taste like leftovers.
The meal prep sessions all come with printable lists of the entire grocery list and recipes for all of the meals, so all the hard work is done for you. The first meal sessions we did were the 7 healthy chicken meals and the 6 comfort food meals. They were all really good, the beef barley stew and spring chicken soup are my favorite! We've also tried the kid friendly meals, and the meatball recipe is so good, however I made them without pesto since my hubby doesn't really care for it. The vegetarian meals are pretty good too!
