The balloon fiesta wrapped up last weekend! My sister, the baby, and I all woke up super early to make it for the morning glow and the mass ascension. We went on the perfect day, it was pretty chilly, but there was no wind, so a ton of balloons went up. The pictures really don't do the hot air balloons justice. Albuquerque is known for the way our balloons go up and then sort of circle around over and over. This is called the "Albuquerque Box" which makes our balloon fiesta unique! My mom actually went into labor with my sister while at the Balloon Fiesta!
In my hometown fall starts with the state fair, then the balloon fiesta, then Thanksgiving and Christmas of course, with a whole bunch of other stuff in between! I love this time of year because not only is it beautiful with the changing leaves and the crisp air, but there are so many fun things that happen around this time. Next weekend we are going to the harvest festival in a cute little town nearby called Corrales and then to the pumpkin patch the following weekend. I love the change in wardrobe including cozy sweaters, boots, beanies, scarves, and being able to sip on my favorite hot beverages in front of my faux Netflix fire, (haha) like lattes, apple cider and hot cocoa.
This past week has been a little hard on Eden. He has three teeth coming in and I can tell they're bothering him. He's such a good boy though, he doesn't fuss or act cranky, he is still his happy self. Last night he woke up a couple times and was crying and drooling a lot. I hope this passes soon so my little guy isn't in pain anymore.
Have you ever been to the balloon fiesta? What's your favorite thing about this time of year?Comment below! I'd love to hear from you!
