DIY Heating Pads

DIY Heating Pads

Excuse me while I pamper myself with my new heating pad! How cute are these fabrics!? I was so proud of myself because usually it takes me foreverrr to pick out fabric. It's so hard to choose! This time I saw these and knew I had to use them for something! A lot of woman carry tension in their shoulders, and these lay perfectly on them or basically anywhere on the body. They were also really inexpensive to make, I only got 1/4 yard of each fabric and other than that all you need is a large bag of rice and thread. Here's the step by step on how to make them:

Measure the fabric and draw spaced lines with a pen to give you a guide for cutting. You can make them any size but mine are 6"x16" before sewing.

Make sure you put the printed side of the fabric on the inside because after you sew, you'll turn them inside out.

Pin along the edge of the fabric

and then sew along the edge

Make sure you leave a small opening, so you can turn the fabric inside out

Fill the heating pad with rice and then fold the edges in, and sew shut. You can also add lavender mixed in with the rice which makes them smell amazing!

and that it! They're really easy, and they also make great gifts.
